it will be time for a name change. Any idea why? That's right, we're expecting! Momma of Five will soon be a Momma of Six. We are extremely excited about this new developement.

Harvest Festival

We spent Wednesday evening at our church's Harvest Festival. The kids entered a biblical costume contest. Games kept the children busy as well as pumpkin decorating, face painting, bouncy houses, and a cake walk. We also took a hay ride after dark.

Labor Day Festivities

We spent Saturday afternoon watching old home videos of the children. One episode was a cookout at our old home. Feeling nostalgic, we decided to cookout for Labor Day. Here are the pics!

Jonah's Ride

Jonah and Dad made this cart today. It was a fun project. Jonah learned to use a handsaw, a power drill and a wrench. It was spray painted gold and dubbed "The Deadly Pirate". Of course, the most fun was trying it out down the hill.

AWANA Awards Ceremony

I guess I am running behind. We had our awards ceremony in May. I am just now writing about it. Better late than never!

Hannah received a special award: Clubber of the Year T and T Girls

Get Wet Night

Our AWANA club sponsors a Get Wet Night for the clubbers. The children had a wonderful time. There were large water slides, water guns, garden hoses and buckets full of water. No one was safe.

Just look what Daddy found while mowing the grass. Unfortunately, he ran over their home and Mama Bunny was gone. (Nope, we didn't keep them. There were three.)

AWANA Grand Prix

Today was our AWANA race. This was our first year to participate. Boy, we have a lot to learn! However, we had a fun day. And we were blessed to have Nanna and Pappy with us today! The kiddos were so excited. What a fun day! Here are the results:

Baby Chicks are here!

Here are our new baby chicks. Here they are two days old. They came in the US mail from Ideal Poultry in Cameron, Texas.

The kids really like them. I hope they don't get too attached! These chickens are for the freezer.
